MULTI-AWARD winning Scottish stand-up Mark Nelson will take to the stage in Coughlan’s next month as part of the comic’s first tour of Ireland and Britain.
Nelson commences the Irish leg of his tour in the popular Douglas St venue on Saturday, February 3. He is also set to perform in Whelan’s in Dublin on Sunday, February 4, and has a gig in Northern Ireland next month, performing at the Limelight in Belfast on February 2.
Nelson won the inaugural Scottish Comedian of the Year in 2006. His work has previously featured on Have I Got News for You, Mock the Week, and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
The Irish dates of his tour follow on from sold-out gigs in Britain last year.
“Audiences from Oban to Dublin will have the chance to enjoy the very best of Nelson, who alongside his critically acclaimed live work is known for creating the BBC’s biggest ever online hit, News At 3, which currently has over 250m views worldwide,” promoters Scottish Comedy Agency said of the tour.
