LATEST 

Cork County Council says a number of routes are impacted by heavy rain overnight. 

In North Cork, Longfields Bridge and Killavullen Bridge are both closed. 

In West Cork, Ardcahan Bridge is closed.

Meanwhile, it is advising that the Road R-587-167 is now able. 

Townlands on this road include Demesne, Derreens, Derrylahan, and Ardcahan.

EARLIER 

A number of routes in Cork are impacted by flooding this morning. 

Motorists are being advised that the R-587-167 is imable due to flooding. 

Cork County Council said that lands on this road include: Demesne, Derreens, Derrylahan, and Ardcahan. 

The R-621-0 is also imable.

Townlands on this road are: Kilvealaton West, Newberry, Gortnagross.

High tide ed in Cork city without any significant flooding this morning. 

Meanwhile, an orange rain warning remains in place in Cork. 

Met Éireann says persistent rain, heavy at times, accompanied by strong onshore winds, high tides, and elevated river levels will lead to flooding, wave overtopping and difficult travelling conditions. 

The orange rain warning remains in place in Cork until 12 noon.
