Skibbereen to host homecoming for Cork's Olympic rowers on Sunday

Skibbereen Rowing Club is holding an Olympic homecoming, ed by Cork County Council, tomorrow afternoon.

It will celebrate the club's athletes who competed in Paris 2024, including gold medalists Paul O'Donovan and Fintan McCarthy.

The parade is commencing at 3pm heading down North St, down Main Street and into the Fairfield where there will be live music and the Olympians will be on stage.

People are advised to be aware of parking restrictions will apply on Main St, Bridge St and the Fairfield from this evening.

Parking tomorrow will be available at O’Donovan Rossa GAA grounds, Skibbereen New Mart (Marsh Road), Skibbereen Rugby Club, The Showgrounds Cork Road, and Morgan O Driscoll’s (beside Hurley’s Garage) on the by.

People are also asked to follow the instructions of gardaí and stewards on the day.
