The owners of The Kabin Cafes have shared the sad news that both of their venues in Ballincollig and Ballinhassig are to close later this month.
The owners of the businesses, which serve breakfast and lunch, opened their Ballincollig venue in March of 2024, but they said that “unforeseen rising costs of business” have made it “impossible” to remain open.
The Ballinhassig venue will close on Sunday, January 19 followed by Ballincollig on Sunday, January 26.
The owners wrote on social media: “Dear valued customers of The Kabin Cafes, it is with deep regret that we announce the imminent closure of both our Kabin Cafes in Ballinhassig and Ballincollig.
“We want to express our sincere thanks to everyone that has ed our cafes in recent years, we have truly enjoyed every moment.
“The Kabin Catering Co continues to operate all its other corporate, private and commercial services from its kitchen HQ in Ballinhassig along with all other units across cork city and county, as well as our sister company www.tlcfoods.ie.
“Personally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to both the management and staff of both premises.
“I know the time and effort they put in to giving a fantastic customer experience all day every day.”
They added that for any queries, people can email [email protected], and to find retail ready meals after January 26, they can follow TLC Foods on Facebook.
