Uisce Éireann said it recommended that the public should allow two to three hours after the estimated restoration time for water supply to fully return.

Parts of Cork city’s southside may suffer overnight water supply disruptions on Wednesday night Uisce Éireann has warned.

The water utility company said new connection works are scheduled to take place from 11pm on Wednesday, April 9, until 3am on Thursday, April 10, and are likely to cause disruptions to local water supplies.

According to the company, the works may cause supply disruptions to Ave de Rennes, Convent Gardens, Convent Drive, The Well, Blackrock Avenue, Blackrock Grove, Ballinsheen Court, Ringmahon Rd, Cois Coillte, Delwood Grove, Ballinure Way, Lakeland Crescent, Loughmahon Rd, Loughmahon Court, Elm Close, Ravensdale Avenue, Ravensdale Rd, Castle Park, Castle Meadows, Skehard Rd, Ballinure Lawn, Mariner's Hall, Ballinure Cottages, St Michael's Lawn, St Michael's Drive, Ballinure Avenue, The Maples, Inchera Park, Estuary Drive, Inchera Lawn, Cappanoole, Riverbank, Meelagh Drive, Meelagh View, Coach House Avenue, Chestnut Close, Gate Lodge, Sandy Lawn, Castle Rd, Ferney Rd, Eden Grove, Eden Court, Ringmahon Avenue, The Orchard, Nutley Rd, Beechwood Rd, Oakgrove, Eden and surrounding areas in Cork city.

There will be a traffic management plan in place for the duration of the works.

Uisce Éireann said it recommended that the public should allow two to three hours after the estimated restoration time for water supply to fully return.
