Youghal man appointed to role at ambulance company

A Cork man has been appointed as the new regional base supervisor in the southern region for Medicall, Ireland’s leading provider of ambulance, event medical, and training services.

Martin Morris, who is from Youghal, has been appointed to the role at the private ambulance service, which delivers nationwide coverage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The company specialises in providing event medical services, from large-scale events and concerts to sporting games and fixtures, and offers internationally accredited training programmes.

The Cork position is one of seven newly created regional base supervisor roles introduced by Medicall as part of a major nationwide investment to strengthen local crews and improve on-the-ground coordination. Mr Morris will be based at Medicall’s regional office in Cork city, and s a newly established network of supervisors throughout Ireland.

He brings a wealth of experience, coming from a safeguarding adults review (SAR) and care background, having over 22 years of experience in the RNLI, and his role will include managing regional operations, ing frontline crews, and ensuring the delivery of timely and high-quality care to patients.
