  • Declan O’Rourke, Cork Opera House, 8pm: Marking the 20th anniversary of Since Kyabram, his first studio album, Dublin artist O’Rourke brings his nostalgic show to Cork. Tickets €40.
  • Fern Brady: I Gave You Milk to Drink, The Everyman, 8pm: Scotland’s queen of comedy makes her Everyman debut. 18+. Tickets €26.

SUNDAY

  • Some Guys Have All The Luck - The Rod Stewart Story, Cork Opera House, 8pm: Direct from the West End and endorsed by Rod’s own family, get ready to rock’n’roll! Tickets €32
  • Simon & Garfunkel Through the Years, The Everyman, 8pm: Bookends return with their unforgettable show. Tickets €34.

  • Straif, Sea Church Ballycotton, 9.30pm: After selling out the Sea Church in March, 2023, after the release of their debut album, Straif are back with an electrifying set of original songs and a dash of covers in this free event.
  • Cassö, Cyprus Avenue, 11pm: The 21-year-old from England whose dance record Prada become a worldwide phenomenon. Tickets €22.

  • Denis Minihane Photography Exhibition, Temperance Hall, Kinsale, 10.30am: For almost four decades, Echo and Examiner staff photographer Denis documented the stories of our times and won multiple awards. His presentation at Big Picture ‘24 will include stories from his career.
  • Bernard O’Shea: Desperate House Husband, The White Horse, 8.30pm: The popular comedian brings his latest show to the stage.
  • The Brunch Club, The Angler’s, 1pm: Fun-filled event of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and great company. Ticket includes glass of prosecco, two signature cocktails, and a brunch dish, with entertainment with Stevie G.

  • Creedon’s Musical Atlas Of Ireland, RTÉ1, 6.30pm: Corkman John learns how The Spark has taken the Kabin Crew kids from his home city all over Europe. John is also ed by Pogues legend Cáit O’Riordan, Horslips, and Kevin Rowland, lead singer of Dexys Midnight Runners, to learn how their Irish identity was crucial to their music.
  • At Your Service, RTÉ1, 7.30pm: Sisters Aiveen and Keelin have had a life-long dream – to create a wellness retreat and spa. They bought a disused leisure centre with a pool on the outskirts of Glengarriff in Co. Cork and plan to transform it into Jewel Lodge & Spa. However, the Brennans rip up their business plan and want to fill in tee costly pool!

  • Rivals, Disney+: The Jackie Collins book is turned into a new eight-part drama, with its themes of melodramatic misunderstandings and betrayal involving wealthy, posh folk in the TV industry. An impressive cast includes David Tennant, Aidan Turner, Danny Dyer, and Katherine Parkinson.
  • Woman Of The Hour, Netflix: Crime thriller that went down a storm with critics on its debut at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival. It’s based on a true story in 1978 when serial killer Rodney Alcala - who had already murdered five women - appeared on U.S TV’s The Dating Game.
