Leeside boxers have returned to the southern capital with three elite, three senior, and 30 more national titles from U22 down to underage.

In the presence of the Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr. Kieran McCarthy, the presentation was made by the Registrar of the Cork County Boxing Board Louise Forde.

Boxers from Cork, in addition to top athletes from around the country will participate this weekend.The bouts from underage right up to senior and elite have been well matched. 

A feature of this tournament was the presentation of the Brendan Mooney trophy. This was presented to the boxer who was selected for giving the best-spirited display of the event.
