The new six-part series will see Conor reunited with Jock in Cork after both spent series four in different prisons, in different parts of the world.

"We’re so excited to be bringing all of the team back for the new series of TheYoung Offenders," creator and showrunner Peter Foott said.

The popular podcast, created and presented by Hilary Rose, Live Wild, will host its first live event, a special evening at the Cork Opera House

It shows the number of juveniles suspected of murder in 2020 doubled to four, while five others were suspected of attempted murder.

The show is set to return for a fourth series and the producers have issued a casting call for actors to take their place alongside Conor, Jock, Mairead, and their extended family.

It was previously accepted that the programme had ceased production indefinitely. However, it is hoped that loveable rogues Chris and Jock, will live to fight another day or, more importantly, another season.

It’s been an eventful few years for the band.
