Manchester United legend Roy Keane will author Roddy Doyle for an 'in conversation' event at the Marquee Cork next summer.

Doyle co-authored Keane's second biography, The Second Half.

The Corkman's first autobiography was infamously co-written with journalist Eamon Dunphy, with the pair falling out afterwards.

It is believed the fallout was over how Dunphy described the incident in which Keane injured Manchester City midfielder Alf-Inge Haaland. However, Dunphy disputed this.

In contrast, Keane and Doyle remained friends after the publication of The Second Half.

Tickets for 'An evening with Roy Keane, in conversation with Roddy Doyle' presented by Aiken Promotions, go on sale this Friday, November 8th, at 9am from Ticketmaster.ie.

As an interviewee, Keane is often reluctant to share too much.

In an appearance on Tommy Tiernan's talk show last year, he delved into his upbringing and family life to a certain extent, but when Tiernan tried to push him on another topic he replied: "What do you want me to do? A somersault?"

Keane's prior relationship with Doyle should make for an interesting evening of discussion though, and Manchester United fans from his native Cork and further afield will be eager to attend.
