Dublin Fire Brigade are in the process of preparing for its busiest night of the year.

With Halloween night tomorrow, thus far, 450 tonnes of bonfire stockpiles have been removed from across Dublin city.

Up until midday on Tuesday, 180 reports of bonfire materials had already been made by the public to the city council’s citizen hub.

Inspections and storage sites have also been discovered by council staff, while a number of departments within the local authority have removed stockpiles over the last 10 days, Newstalk reported.

The 450 tonnes of bonfire materials collected is more than that of last year, and anyone who comes across stockpiles is being urged to report them to the city council.
