Pedestrian left seriously injured after being hit by car in Limerick

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was hit by a car in Limerick early on Wednesday morning.

The incident happened on the N24 at Milltown at around 12.10am.

The man was brought to University Hospital Limerick where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The driver of the car was also taken to hospital as a precaution.

The N24 was closed in both directions for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Anyone with information or dash-cam footage are asked to gardaí.
