To mark International Women's Day on March 8, WoW! is bringing you a special podcast this week where we'll be chatting about what the event means to you.

Former Cork ladies footballer, Juliet Murphy ed us in studio to chat about her sporting journey, how we can encourage girls to stay engaged in sport, and what IWD means to her.

Juliet Murphy has also penned a special article for this week's WoW!

She wrote that while progress has been made in ing women in sport, that there is still work to do.

"Retaining female players, coaches, and officials is crucial to ensure women feel valued and encouraged to stay involved. When girls see women succeeding in sport, it reshapes their aspirations and shows them they belong."

Network Ireland Cork President Cathy Fitzgibbon also ed us for the podcast and spoke about how her own business, the Culinary Celt, came about with help and from the many wonderful women in business she has met through the years.
