Cork girl to compete for Irish Junior Eurovision spot

11-year-old Amy Cotter from Mallow will compete in the third episode of the series on TG4 tonight at 8.30pm.

Building on last year’s fourth-place Junior Eurovision finish, the search is on for the next ‘Irish Junior Eurovision 2023’ entry.

Each year, the best young singers, aged between 9 to 14, from across Europe compete in this huge event.

But who will represent Ireland?

Sophie Lennon from County Down represented Ireland last year after advancing through this very competition.

The competing song, ‘Solas’ wowed the spectators in Yerevan, Armenia last December.

This year’s winner will head to on November 26 with a song composed especially for their voice to take on Europe.

It will be up to the judges to pick the winner. Niamh Ní Chróinín and Aindriú de Paor, will be ed by special guest judge Ryan O'Shaughnessy.

‘Junior Eurovision’ will be hosted by Louise Cantillon and Darragh Ó Caoimh.
